RED LIGHT ALARM

RED LIGHT ALARMS: if your alarm turns on, don’t panic (it usually isn’t an emergency) First silence the alarm with the switch on the control panel. There could be various reasons your alarm has sounded/red light has activated. You may check the following items below and as always, only if you feel comfortable doing so and follow normal saftey proceedures if checking electrical! Please call our office and schedule a service call with our office. If we are closed (after hours, weekends or holidays), please leave (1) voicemail at (210) 875-3625. You may also send a text to this number. You may email us to leave a request at mjseptic@satx.rr.com if you are unable to call or text. We will make a work order for the next available business day. During this time, you as the homeowner need to reduce all non-essential water usage. Don’t wait days to report red light alarms!

We always try our very best to be out within the same day we are notified; during very busy times it can take up to 72 hours (mainly weekends, holidays and in very rare cases)

Air compressor not working
  • Check breaker in control panel
  • Check clear tube coming from the A/C going to air switch at bottom of panel
  • Check rubber hose connection from A/C to air line going to tank
  • Does the air line have cracks, holes or is it kinked
High Water Alarm - Water in pump tank is above normal level:
  • Check level of water in tank
  • Check breaker controlling pump in control panel
Probable situations causing this problem:
  • Water pump to sprinklers not working
  • Float Switch that controls pump on/off not functioning properly/has disconnected
  • If your toilets are “gurgling” or are slow flushing you may open the outside cleanouts to relieve the pressure and drain the pipes under your house onto the lawn. (You would rather have the sewage on the lawn than the inside floor)
  • Sludge Level may be at or near 12" or above - need septic tank cleaning
Sprinklers not spraying properly:
  • Filters in bottom of sprinklers clogged
  • Pump screen is clogged up
  • Break in sprinkler line
